By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in a lampworking workshop conducted by Gurasu House (“the Organiser”). I understand and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Acknowledgment of Risks
1. I acknowledge that lampworking involves working with high temperatures, sharp tools, and glass materials, which carry inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Burns from torches and hot glass.
• Cuts from handling glass materials.
• Other potential injuries resulting from workshop activities.

2. I confirm that I have been informed of the safety guidelines and will adhere to all instructions provided by the Organiser and workshop instructors.

3. I acknowledge that my participation is voluntary and that I am fully aware of the risks involved.

Assumption of Responsibility
4. I agree to assume full responsibility for my safety and actions during the workshop.

5. I confirm that I am physically fit to participate and have disclosed any medical conditions that may affect my ability to engage in the workshop safely.

6. I understand that for the safety of all participants, staff, and the organiser, Gurasu House reserves the right to pause or terminate my participation in the session if, in their reasonable judgment, my behaviour or condition poses a risk to myself, others, or the staff. This includes failure to follow safety and workshop instructions, reckless or disruptive conduct, or any situation where my continued participation may compromise safety.

I acknowledge that no refunds or rescheduling will be provided in such cases, and I accept full responsibility for my actions.

Waiver of Liability
7. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Organiser, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:

• Injuries or accidents caused by my own negligence or failure to follow safety instructions.
• Damage to personal property during the workshop.

8. I understand that the Organiser will take reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment and maintain equipment in good working condition. However, I acknowledge that the Organiser cannot eliminate all risks inherent in lampworking activities.

9. I accept full responsibility for any injury or damage that may occur during the workshop, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Organiser.

Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment
10. In the event of an emergency, I consent to the Organiser seeking medical assistance on my behalf. I understand that I am responsible for any costs incurred.

Minor Participants (If applicable)

11. I confirm that I am at least 16 years old. If under 18, both my parent/ legal guardian and I have read and consented to my participation in this workshop. I (and my parent/guardian) accept full responsibility for my safety and conduct during the workshop. 

Photography & Marketing Consent

12. I understand that photos and videos may be taken during the workshop for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, the website, and other marketing materials.

Acknowledgment and Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this waiver and release of liability. I acknowledge that this document is legally binding under Singapore law.
