Frequently asked questions
How to make multiple Culture Pass booking?
To book Culture Pass with your partner or friends, select the number of slots you want, then go to the payment page to confirm availability before completing your individual purchase. If you are unable to proceed to the payment page, it means the number of slots you requested is unavailable. Only once you have confirmed the number of slots can you proceed to book individually using your Culture Pass. Please note that it is still on a first-come, first-served basis, and another participant can book it immediately. Gurasu House will not guarantee your slots.

What is lampworking?
Lampworking is the art of shaping glass using a torch with flames reaching up to 1650°C.
It involves melting glass rods and manipulating them to create intricate designs, beads, flowers and other decorative pieces.
What is the rescheduling policy?
We understand that plans can change. To keep our studio running smoothly, we observe the following rescheduling policy:
- Advance Notice: Rescheduling requests must be made at least one week (7 days) before your scheduled session. We are unable to accept rescheduling requests made within 7 days of the event.
- One-Time Limit: Each booking is eligible for one (1) reschedule only.
- Validity Period: Your new session date must fall within two (2) months of your original booking date.
What if I can’t make it at the last minute?
If you are within the one-week window and can no longer attend, our sessions are fully transferable. You may send someone else in your place—simply have them present your original activity voucher upon arrival.
What is the refund policy?
All purchases are strictly non-refundable.
Can I bring my own design to a Beginner Workshop?
To ensure a successful first experience, our beginner workshops follow a structured curriculum designed to teach you the essential nature of molten glass and torch safety. Because mastering these fundamentals is key to working safely, we do not allow deviations from the intended workshop projects.
Once you have completed our beginner series and gained confidence with the material, you’ll be better equipped to explore custom creations in our more advanced sessions!
Can I share a workstation with another person?
To ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment, all workstations at Gurasu House are reserved for single users. Each purchased slot provides dedicated access to the torch and equipment for a single participant. We do not allow sharing stations or "observers" within the active workshop area for safety reasons.
How many flowers can I make in one session?
For our focused Floral Workshops, the session is carefully timed to create one detailed flower. If you are interested in spending more time at the torch to explore your creativity, we invite you to look into our Open Studio credits.
For the Mini Bouquet Workshop, you can typically create between 5 and 7 pieces (as advertised), depending on your individual crafting pace.
How do I sign up for an Intermediate Workshop?
To join our intermediate series, please email us at enquiries@gurasuhouse.com with your preferred time slot and the email address used for your previous beginner booking. We will get back to you within one working day.
Please note that completion of a Gurasu House Beginner Workshop is a mandatory prerequisite. The intermediate level is designed to significantly expand your skills, and having a solid foundation in our safety and glass-handling protocols is essential for a successful session.
Are workshops conducted in other languages?
All workshops at Gurasu House are conducted in English. For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, it is essential that every participant can fully understand technical instructions and acknowledge the safety waiver.
In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, we reserve the right to decline participation if safety protocols cannot be clearly communicated or followed; in such instances, refunds will not be issued.
How many slots are available for a single session?
For our public workshops, we maintain small class sizes to provide high-quality, personalised instruction. Public sessions are limited to 6 participants on weekdays and 8 on weekends. For those planning larger gatherings, our studio is uniquely equipped to host private groups and corporate events for up to 14 participants.
What is the difference between a private session and a private venue?
A Private Session means your group has reserved all available slots for a specific time, ensuring dedicated instructors and that no members of the public will be seated at your worktables.
However, this does not represent a Private Venue (closed-door event). As a high-capacity studio, we may conduct other concurrent workshops or studio activities in separate areas during your visit.
How do I reserve a private session?
If you meet our minimum participant requirements (6 pax on weekdays, 8 pax on weekends), you can request a private session by completing our Inquiry Form. For smaller groups, you may simply book all 8 slots on our public booking calendar to secure the session for your party. We recommend booking at least 2 months in advance for private sessions.
What should I do if my flower drops and shatters at home?
Glass is inherently fragile, and accidents can happen. Gurasu House allows you to bring your piece back to the studio for reassembly. Please note that this service is highly dependent on the condition of the broken flower; if we determine it cannot be reassembled, Gurasu House will not be liable, and no refunds or disputes will be accepted. To avoid a wasted trip, please email us at enquiries@gurasuhouse.com first with photos to verify the extent of the damage.
