Glass Iris Workshop Policy
Welcome to Gurasu House. The Glass Iris Beading Workshop is a flame-free, cold-working experience available for corporate events, brand activations, and private gatherings. By confirming a booking, the Organising Party agrees to the following terms on behalf of their organisation and all attendees.
Definitions
Vendor: Gurasu House, the provider of the Glass Iris Beading Workshop and all associated materials and instruction.
Organising Party: The client organisation or individual who books and coordinates the session on behalf of their group.
1. About the Workshop
- Participants design and assemble a multi-dimensional glass Iris flower using structural wire wrapping and hand-beading techniques. No torches or high-heat equipment are used.
- Each participant takes home a handcrafted glass Iris on a wire stem, suitable for display in a minimalist vase or as a standalone piece.
- Because no studio infrastructure is required, the workshop can be hosted off-site at a venue of the Organising Party’s choice or from a list of options provided by the Vendor.
- As with all handcrafted work, minor variations between pieces are natural and part of the process.
2. Bookings & Enquiries
- The Glass Iris Beading Workshop is booked directly through the Vendor. It is not listed on Pelago or any third-party ticketing platform.
- To reserve a session, the Organising Party should complete the enquiry form at gurasuhouse.com/pages/corporate-event or contact us via WhatsApp.
- A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Holding a date without payment does not constitute a reservation.
3. Pricing & Payment
- SGD $108 per participant, excluding venue hire.
- The workshop will be held off-site. The Vendor will provide venue options for the Organising Party’s consideration. If the Organising Party elects to use their own venue, any applicable venue costs are the sole responsibility of the Organising Party.
- Pricing is standardised and applies consistently regardless of group size or organisation type.
- Full payment is required upfront to confirm the booking.
- All amounts are in SGD. Payment details will be shared upon confirmation of the session date and participant count.
4. Minimum Participants & Headcount
- A minimum of 20 participants is required per session.
- Sessions are capped at the headcount confirmed at the time of booking. Last-minute additions on the day cannot be accommodated, as materials are prepared in advance for the confirmed group size.
- Final participant count must be confirmed at the time of payment.
- Reductions below the confirmed headcount after payment are non-refundable.
- Additions after payment may be accommodated subject to material availability. The Organising Party should contact the Vendor as early as possible — materials for late requests cannot be guaranteed.
5. Cancellation & Refunds
- All payments are strictly non-refundable. No exceptions will be made regardless of the reason for cancellation.
- No rescheduling is available. A cancelled session is a forfeited session.
- Failure to attend on the confirmed date, for any reason, will result in total forfeiture of the amount paid.
- The Vendor reserves the right to cancel a confirmed session due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to safety concerns or events beyond the Vendor’s reasonable control. In such cases, the Organising Party will be notified as early as possible and offered a full refund or a priority rebooking at the Vendor’s discretion.
6. Venue Requirements
- The Glass Iris Beading Workshop is fully portable and flame-free. It can be conducted at any suitable venue or corporate office.
- Where the Organising Party and the Vendor have agreed to use a venue provided or nominated by the Organising Party, the Organising Party is responsible for ensuring the venue meets the setup requirements communicated by the Vendor at the time of booking. These typically include:
- Sufficient table surface per participant.
- Adequate lighting for close-detail work.
- Clear access for the Vendor’s team to set up and pack down materials.
- The Vendor is not liable for delays or disruptions caused by venue conditions outside the Vendor’s reasonable control.
7. Conduct & Participation
- All participants are expected to follow instructor guidance throughout the session. While the Glass Iris Beading Workshop does not involve open flame, glass components require careful and attentive handling.
- For the safety of all participants and the Vendor’s team, the Vendor reserves the right to pause or remove any participant from the session if their conduct poses a risk to themselves, others, or the materials. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
- The Organising Party assumes responsibility for the conduct of their group and for communicating these terms to all attendees before the session.
8. Punctuality
- Participants should be ready to begin at the confirmed start time. The Organising Party is responsible for ensuring the group is assembled and the venue is accessible for setup before the session begins.
- The Vendor cannot extend session time to accommodate late starts caused by group tardiness or venue access issues.
9. Age
- The Glass Iris Beading Workshop is open to all ages. There is no minimum age requirement.
- The Organising Party is responsible for the supervision and conduct of minors throughout the session.
10. Language
- All sessions are conducted in English. Participants must be able to follow technical instructions in English for the experience to proceed safely and effectively.
- If the group has specific language requirements, the Organising Party should discuss these with the Vendor before booking. Instruction in other languages cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated where possible.
11. Liability
- Acknowledgement of Risks
By participating in this workshop, all attendees acknowledge that glass materials require careful handling, and that minor risks — including cuts from glass components — are inherent to the craft. The Organising Party, by confirming the booking, accepts this on behalf of their group. - Exclusion of Liability
The Vendor is not liable for injuries, losses, or damages arising from: participants’ failure to follow instructor guidance or their own negligence; the condition, layout, or hazards of the venue; any unforeseen circumstances at or related to the venue, including but not limited to accidents, structural issues, or third-party incidents; or damage to personal belongings during the session. This exclusion does not apply to injuries or damages caused by the gross negligence of the Vendor or its staff. - Duty of Care
The Vendor will take reasonable steps to ensure a safe and well-prepared session, including the provision of quality materials and adequate instruction.
12. Photography & Media
- The Vendor may photograph or film sessions for use in marketing and promotional materials, including social media and the website.
- If the Organising Party has specific photography restrictions — such as a confidential client event or internal team gathering — these must be communicated in writing at the time of booking.
13. Lost or Damaged Property
- Participants are responsible for any damage to workshop materials or props caused by improper use. Charges may apply for replacement.
- The Vendor is not responsible for loss or damage to participants’ personal belongings during the session.
14. Environmental Policy
- To reduce environmental waste, participants are encouraged to bring their own bag for transporting their finished piece home.
- All finished pieces will be securely packaged for safe transport. If a bag is required, a mandatory top-up fee of $1 per bag will apply.
Agreement of Terms
By proceeding with a booking, the Organising Party acknowledges that all participants will engage with glass materials and agrees to communicate these terms to the group in advance. The Organising Party agrees to hold the Vendor harmless for any injuries or disruptions resulting from failure to follow instructor guidance, venue conditions, or these policies.
